The Film:
Back in 1962 an unknown actor – Robert Redford – first appeared in the Twilight Zone. His career really took off after his appearance in Barefoot in the Park, and after numerous blockbuster films including one of the best westerns ever – Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, and the best Great Gatsby – the rest is history.
Robert Redford has said that after The Old Man and his Gun he will retire from acting (after all he is only 73!). Don’t miss his last film
The Old Man and the Gun (cert 12A)
(starring Robert Redford)

THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN is based on the true story of Forrest Tucker (Robert Redford), from his audacious escape from San Quentin at the age of 70 to an unprecedented string of heists that confounded authorities and enchanted the public. Wrapped up in the pursuit are detective John Hunt (Casey Affleck), who becomes captivated with Forrest’s commitment to his craft, and a woman (Sissy Spacek), who loves him in spite of his chosen profession.
