2016 Ormside Fringe Festival

fringe-poster-2016

Following last years massive village event – the Ormside Fringe returns, bigger and better than ever!!

Once again, we’re proud to be welcoming the Upper Eden Community Choir and the Eden Ensemble to “headline” this event, but as last year showed it was our “home grown” talent that made the show what it was.

Please join us for an evening of music, sketches, dancing and poetry reading as we again draw on the talents of our friends and neighbours. To volunteer your artistic skills (and any type of act is welcome) for showcasing on the night, please call Sue Wigley on 017683 51575 who will be able to talk you through how you can become involved.

Keep up to date with the bookings through our village website:

2016 Ormside Summer Teas (end July – end August)

Screen Shot 2016-06-07 at 11.32.56

It’s Holiday Time

Schools will have broken up – the sun will be shining . . . . . . yes, Summer is here and it’s time for THE ORMSIDE VILLAGE SUMMER TEAS!!

Throughout Ormside, each weekend from 23 July until the end of August, homes throughout our village will be opening up their gardens and welcoming visitors to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea alongside delicious home-baked scones and sandwiches.

No two weekends will be the same as the venues and gardens within the village will change – so keep your eyes peeled for directions to specific homes – and make it regular day out through the summer!

The common denominators are lovely locations, great food and fantastic hosts, all the essential  elements for a truly enjoyable afternoon.

Bring your family and friends, with all the proceeds go towards the upkeep of our beautiful, local church St James. Pay it a visit whilst you’re in the village

We all look forward to meeting old friends and welcoming new visitors
